Join us at Club Tierra August 13th 2011 for what is set to be a premier moment in Philadelphia history. Join us in celebration of the life Daniel E Rumph, a local basketball hero who’s life ended early because of a rare heart disease. This event is a fund raiser for DERII Foundation to help place Automated External Defibrillators (AED) in community recreation centers and provide CPR/AED training to the public.

The Daniel E. Rumph II foundation was founded in the memory of our dearest friend; our commitment to honor Danny in continuing the education of this rare heart disease that took Danny too soon.
The Danny Rumph Classic is a tribute to the game he and so many others love, bringing together generations of Philadelphia basketball players. The immense outpouring from our community is a direct reflection of the kind of person Danny was and the amount of respect that other players still have for him.
Our Mission is to raise awareness of Hypertrophy Cardiomyopthy and Sudden Cardiac Arrest and provide FREE screenings for heart disease that causes SCA.
As well as raising awareness, the D.E.R II Foundation with the help of generous donations from our supporters, places Automated External Defibrillators and provides CPR training in the Philadelphia Recreation Facilities in the tri-state area.
